Aarde-Werk de Stegge is a 2 hectare (20.000 m2) property with permaculture design, organic vegetable and herb gardens, food forest and orchards. The owner will offer you a tour on the property to learn what the property is about, how you can find your way, what the sustainable water- and heatingsystems are, etc.
Children can enjoy the free ranging area, discover what a farm is about and if they - or you!- would like, they can give a hand to feel the natural life in practice. The owner can do a workshop on tincture and ointment making with natural ingredients, when enough people would like to assist.
Countryside
The 'Radmakershuuske" is an original Carpenter Workop where wooden wheels were made in the 19th century. You could still imagine being there and fancy the woodworking-skills of an old carpenter. The Radmakershuuske is part of the beautiful, quiet natural place of "Aarde-Werk de Stegge" . A permaculture project on sustainable living and education in the east of the Netherlands, called ''''de Achterhoek''''.
You will be welcomed by the owner and she will give you an introduction-tour on the property when you arrive or, when you wish, later on during your stay, if that suites you better.
